Annual Curriculum
The school year begins in April and has two semesters. The first semester is from April to October and the second semester is from November to March. One school year has 35 weeks. The first semester includes about 5 weeks of summer break. The second semester also includes about 2 weeks of break in the winter. There are 5 days off between the first semester and the second semester. The chart below shows the numbers of periods for each subject which school students have to take during a school year. The numbers in ( ) show the number of periods per week.
School students have 29 periods a week = 6 periods x 4 days + 5 periods x 1 day
The number of periods is 1025 = 29 periods a week x 35 weeks a school year
